Working Together to Strengthen HR and Employee Wellbeing

At Life & Progress, we have always believed that the strongest business relationships are built around shared values, trust and a genuine commitment to supporting people. That is why we are delighted to be working in partnership with Guardian Support, combining professional HR expertise with proactive employee wellbeing services.

Guardian Support provides practical, professional HR support to organisations across the UK, helping employers navigate the everyday realities of managing people and employment relationships. From providing guidance around workplace issues and employment matters through to helping organisations develop effective people practices, their approach is centred on giving employers the confidence and support they need to manage their workforce effectively.

This complements the work we do at Life & Progress particularly well.

Through our partnership, organisations can benefit from Guardian Support’s HR expertise alongside a range of Life & Progress wellbeing solutions, including Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), GP Support, mental wellbeing resources and other complementary employee support services.

Bringing HR and Wellbeing Together

Employee wellbeing rarely sits in isolation from the wider workplace.

Personal difficulties can affect attendance, performance and relationships at work, while workplace pressures, conflict, change and management challenges can equally have an impact on an individual’s wellbeing.

Bringing HR expertise and employee wellbeing support closer together therefore makes considerable sense.

It provides organisations with a more joined-up approach: supporting managers with the professional HR guidance they need while ensuring employees have access to confidential, independent support when challenges arise.

An EAP, for example, can provide valuable early intervention for employees experiencing emotional, personal or practical difficulties. It can also complement wider HR processes such as absence management, return-to-work conversations, workplace conflict and periods of organisational change.

Rather than viewing HR and wellbeing as two separate functions, our partnership with Guardian Support helps organisations consider both as important parts of the same people strategy.

A Partnership Built Around Client Value

For Life & Progress, partnerships such as this are about much more than introducing one service to another.

They are about bringing together complementary areas of expertise and creating additional value for the organisations we collectively support.

Guardian Support understands the challenges employers and managers face when dealing with people matters. Life & Progress provides the proactive wellbeing infrastructure that can sit alongside that support, giving employees somewhere confidential to turn before difficulties become more serious.

Together, this can help organisations create healthier workplace cultures, encourage earlier intervention, support managers and employees through difficult situations and ultimately build more resilient teams.

We are delighted to be working alongside Guardian Support and look forward to continuing to develop our relationship, supporting more organisations and their people together in the years ahead.
