Member Support & Wellbeing Service

Member Care

Life can be full of challenges, whether large or small, personal or work related, and the sooner they are overcome, the sooner we are able to focus on leading a happier, healthier life. Whilst friends and family are often invaluable in providing us with the help and support we need in everyday life, sometimes situations arise where we need to look elsewhere for advice.  In these circumstances, the Member Support & Wellbeing Service is here to help.

This serviceis designed to provide your memebrship with an independent source of professional, impartial information, advice and support helping members to find the best solution, just when they need it.  It’s free for the member to use (as funded by the membership) and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  The service is totally independent and every call is treated with the utmost confidentiality. Nothing discussed between the member and the service will ever be communicated to anyone else without their permission, and no-one will know they have used the service.

This confidential service can offer support and advice for almost any concern you may have, including tackling issues to do with stress, anxiety or depression; advice on parenting, marital, family and relationship Difficulties, and caring for the elderly or disabled; specialist guidance for everyday living; advice for improving your work life balance; as well as alcohol and drug awareness information and how to live a healthier lifestyle. Professional Counsellors are available, offering Support-in-the-Moment telephone counselling on a vast array of subjects from coping with traumatic incidents and life changing events to addressing psychological and emotional issues.

This service also provides personal legal information, offering practical information on anything from a motoring offence, consumer issues, to property & tenancy issues.

Furthermore, the service can also provide you with financial guidance, offering practical information on a number of financial issues such as general financial planning, personal taxation, banking & saving schemes.  Specialist Debt Counsellors are available with the skills to show you how to get back in control of your finances should your debts get out of hand. In addition to our telephone helpline there are hundreds of pages of useful information and fact sheets available on our website, so if you don’t want or don’t consider it appropriate to speak to anyone, there’s help available online.

So, if you run a membership organisation and are looking for an additional support-service to offer to your members then please contact Life & Progress for further details.
