Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
A critical incident is any event that is unexpected, acute, stressful and that may exceed the normal coping capacities of those involved in the event. Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) provides on-location qualified counselling and trauma support, either for a group of people or for an individual as appropriate.
Being properly managed
At Life & Progress, we fully understand that each critical incident is unique and as such it is imperative that each case is properly managed. The aim of CISM is to minimise the effects of a traumatic incident on your employees thereby enabling them to resume effective operation both at work and at home.
EAP & CISM working together
An EAP service in conjunction with CISM will monitor and support individuals who may need additional help to manage post-trauma symptoms. Equally reassuring employees that your organisation is genuinely concerned about their mental wellbeing.
Life & Progress has access to arguably the largest clinical network of qualified Counsellors through our collective partnerships as well as access to the BACP network. This means we can dispatch a Counsellor to any location without delay, normally within 24-48 hours.
