Mental Health & Wellbeing Specialist Firm Life & Progress appoints Head of Training Services

Garth MacAnally has been working as a Senior EAP Consultant and Trainer for Life and Progress for the last two years. During this time, he has developed and delivered Mental Health and Wellbeing Workshops alongside EAP and Manager Training workshops as well as providing EAP Consultancy and Account Management.

Garth said, “I am very fortunate to thoroughly enjoy my job with a whole-hearted belief that a well-managed and educative EAP programme should, can and will empower employees and employers to access professional support and advice across the many challenges that life can present us with”.

His passion to help reduce stigma surrounding Mental Health with empathy and compassion is evident in his work, to inspire confidence in others to normalise the everyday conversations that we should be having when it comes to our wellbeing is part of his main agenda.

Garth has been working in the EAP & Wellbeing industry for the last 15 years. From the sharp end in EAP Operations through to Account Management, Business Development and EAP training.

Garth said “I initially trained as an engineer after leaving school then started working as an Industrial Therapist within NHS Mental Health Services where I set up from scratch an engineering workshop teaching both metalwork and woodwork as part of retraining and keeping work skills alive for medium to long term hospitalised patients “.  He also undertook a specialised Teacher Training Qualification during this time.

“The training platform we have developed is centred around wellbeing and support. We recognise that our clients require sustainable strategies in learning and ongoing development, and we provide a bespoke consultative approach to their needs”

“I am delighted to have this progression in my role at Life & Progress and I look forward to expanding the range of training services we deliver.”
